Shaki has long been famous as the city of craftsmen, artisans and merchants. They were coming here from the countries of Great Silk Road. That is why special attention paid to construction of choultries. In XVIII - XIX centuries there were 5 large choultries in Shaki. Only two of them remained here from the old times: the Upper and Lower, built in the XVIII century. Upper choultry which still retained its beauty and architectural style currently used as a hotel.

This is a modern renovated hotel complex with high standards of service which can accommodate up to 75 guests at once. Inside there is a warm friendly atmosphere created by polite hospitable hotel staff. The hotel is located next to the main sight of the city - Shirvanshakh Palace.
