Route description: Trip to Issyk-Kul lake one of the most famous directions among the tourist. The average height of trekking we offer more than 2600metres, in the zone of alpine meadows. The trekking stars near Big Almaty Lake (2600m). Big Almaty Lake appears the bowl with the length of 1, 6 km and width -1 km . These “bowl” lives on glaciers water, which flows to the gorge, there the Big Almaty Lake situates surrounding by mountains.On the way you have chance to see another high mountain lake- Djasyl-Kol. Its very beautiful scene-on the height of 3116 meters deep blue lake bounded by mountains. Leaves the zone of alpine meadows you climb over the glacier to Ak Suu pass, which locates in the zone of permanent snow on the height of 4052 meters . Downhill from the gorge lays through one of the most beautiful valleys of North Tien -Shan- the valley of “Chong Ak Suu” river. Going through the valley you reach the “Georgievka” village on the North side of Issyk-Kul .

Tour Summary:

Day 1: Transfer Almaty – Big Almaty Lake (2600m) by car-2 hours. Trekking to the “Ozernay” and “Kyzyl-Say” rivers junction – 2, 5 hours. Overnight in the tents (3000 m ) ( camp ¹1 )

Day 2: Breakfast . Crossing along the “Ozernaya” river to “Ozerniy” pass (3507m)- 2 hours. Ñáîð ëàãåðÿ. Downhill along the “Kel'Almaty” river to the river “Chong Kemin” junction point- 3, 5 hours. Overnight in the tents (2900m) Ñïóñê ïî ðåêå Êåëü-Àëìàòû äî âïàäåíèÿ â ðåêó ×îíã Êåìèí – 3.5 ÷àñà. Íî÷åâêà â ïàëàòêàõ íà âûñîòå 2900ì ( camp ¹ 2)

Day 3: Breakfast . Fords o the South-Eastern Talgar river, crossing along “Chong-Kemin” river to river “Ak-Suu” junction point-1 hour. Djasyl-Kol Lake- 3,5 hours. Overnight in the tents (3100m) ( camp ¹ 3)

Day 4: Breakfast. Crossing along the river Ak-Suu to Ak-Suu glacier-4, 5 hours. Overnight in the tent (3450 m ) ( camp ¹ 4)

Day 5 : Breakfast . Climbing the glacier to Ak-Suu pass- 4 hors. Dowhhill to the “Chong Ak-Suu” river's valley- 2 hours. Overnight in the tent (300 m ) ( camp ¹5 )

Day 6: Breakfast . Downhill on the “Grigorievskiy” gorge to “Verhniy” lakes-5 hours. Overnight in the tents (2300 m ). ( camp ¹6)

Day 7: There are 3 variants of last day:

  1. Transfer to hotel on Issyk-Kul lake
  2. Rest on the Issyk-Kul lake,then transfer to Almaty.
  3. Transfer direct to Almaty.
