Last Saturday, Tashkent hosted an unusual festival, dedicated to one of the most beautiful, bright, original and unique for our region fabric - Khan-atlas!
Khan-atlas is a classic Uzbek fabric that is produced from the cocoons of the silkworm. Motley, with an unusual angle ornament, Khan-atlas attracts attention, both Uzbek and foreign world-famous fashion designers.
This time, on the sixth in the row Festival of Khan-atlas, were presented collections of the alumni of the Tashkent Institute of Textile and Light Industry, and the winners of the Republican contest “Kelajak Ovozi ” in the categories of Clothing Design.
Guests of the event, in terms of a dress code, were also wearing the clothes sewed from traditional fabrics, which gave the festival an extra flavor. All participants were awarded with certificates and gifts from the Chairman of the Fund Forum of Culture and Art of Uzbekistan - Gulnara Karimova.
