All the achievements and prospects of the national software industry, designed for businesses, public institutions and population are demonstrated at the exhibition. More than 60 companies of software market exhibited at the IT-exhibition, covering more than 500 sq.m. Among the participants of the exhibition, along with the national companies, one may encounter the companies of such countries as the United States, Austria, Germany, Russia, Kazakhstan, etc.
Such organizations and companies of the system of Communications and Information Agency of Uzbekistan have also exhibited its stands: Center for scientific, technical and marketing studies, "UzInfoCom", Tashkent University of Information Technologies, Young Developers Training and Support Center, etc. The course of the exhibition includes seminars, conferences, broadcasts of presentation programmes, sharing the experiences on the implementation of successful projects in the industry. During the exhibition, the awarding ceremony of the Republican contest winners in the following categories will be organized: Software product - brand of the year; The best company in the sphere of IT education; The best project implemented in 2008. In addition, the "Seminar room" will be arranged for exhibitors for organizing large-scale activities on promoting their own products and services. It is also planned to conduct a wide variety of recreational activities.
The Exhibition and Forum is organized by IT Association of Uzbekistan and from the Government side is endorsed by Communication and Information Agency of Uzbekistan. Official partner of the exhibition - "ICT Policy" (ICTP) Project of United Nations Development Programme in Uzbekistan.
The issue presenting the exhibition provides with an opportunity to familiarize the general public and professionals in the field of information technology with the practice of creating and implementing projects in the field of software in the country. “ICT Policy” (ICTP) Project of United Nations Development Programme in Uzbekistan is among the organizers of the Contest for Software Products, one of the activities planned within the framework of the two day Exhibition.
The exhibition demonstrated existing and potential software applications and project solutions for business, government and general public sector. The exhibition agenda includes various activities, which include conduction of thematic seminars, project presentation sessions, and meetings to exchange with latest project implementation experiences.
