Tour to Tuyuk Village from Urumqi1 Day | Private | Dabancheng, Bezeklik Caves, Flaming Mountains

Tour itinerary:

Leave Urumqi early in the morning. On the road from Urumqi, stop by Dabancheng, the largest wind power station in China, and a saltwater lake, where each liter of water contains 300 g of salt. Once you arrive at the Tuyuk village, you will eat lunch with a local family and have some time to wander the ancient streets of this small village. Nearby are the Bezeklik Thousand Buddha Caves, home to 77 caves carved into the mountainside. The ceilings of these caves are covered in many different types of murals, depicting Buddha surrounded by other people and gifts. The caves themselves date back to the 5th century CE, when the area was a center of Buddhism. On the way back to Urumqi, pass by the Flaming Mountains, a group of red sandstone cliffs that look like from a distance they are on fire. Return to Urumqi.
