As per study held by Russian information group “Tourprom”, in 2013 Abkhazia, along with new directions offered by travel agencies experiences a considerable increase in early booking programs up to August-September. In February alone an increase in booking came to130 percent, moreover, new offers from Sukhumi, located in quiet picturesque bay, New Athos, famous for its mild climate and sub-tropical flora as well as Gudauta and Ochamchira district are also in demand. The program of early booking includes renovated and new-built hotels.
New facilities are expected to compete with Pitsunda, the most popular resort town of Abkhazia and its brand facilities – “Litfond” rest home and the “Samshitovaya Roshcha” (Box Groove) Hotel.
