The Samarkand restaurant located in the same-name city is one of the popular places to hold white tie lunches and dinners. Located in the center of Samarkand, it is found near the Winemaking Museum named after Khovrenko, and not far from the Grand Samarkand and Grand Samarkand Superior hotels.
The restaurant consists of two halls. The ground floor accommodates a huge hall decorated with painted walls and ceilings, the guest can enjoy the meal to Uzbek national music. On the first floor there is Russian Hall whose decoration is enriched with elements of traditional Russian culture: false bags with wheat, a maquette of well, chests, bear’s skin, dummy goatling and so on.
The Samarkand restaurant offers Uzbek and European food; however the most popular dishes are jiz-biz and Samarkand pilaf. You will duly appreciate the cooks’ skills and certainly wish to come there again and again.
