On 9 November Azerbaijan celebrated State Flag Day. The event dedicated to this holiday took place in the Azerbaijan Cultural Center named after Heydar Aliyev in Tashkent last Friday.
The guests of the Center could watch a video version of the State Flag Square opening ceremony on a special large monitor mounted at the main entrance of the Center. Literary, the Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Uzbekistan Namig Rashid ogly Abbasov, repeating the Azerbaijan President’s steps on the video version to the music of military march, laid flowers at the Monument to Heydar Aliyev erected in the yard of the Cultural Center.
A concert performed by young Azerbaijan and Uzbek artists from the Tashkent Theatre of Music Comedy with a scene from “Arshyn Mal Alan” operetta and dances performed by students of the Tashkent Choreographic College and “Azerbaijan Gyzlary” ensemble took place in the evening.
