Uzbekistan will build an Angren-Pap railway line through the Kamchik pass along the northern border with Tajikistan - reports News Agency on its site 12news.uz. The 129-km new line to be completed in 2016 will connect Andijan, Namangan and Fergana regions of the republic. The project provides for construction of two tunnels.

Currently, the Kamchik pass, with height exceeding 2,000 m, and one motorway passing through it, connects Tashkent region and Pap district of Namangan region. The Angren-Pap railway line will be another step to the development of the single national railway system to cover all Uzbekistan’s territories and regions.
