Dilijan Reserve, Tavush
Dilijan reserve is a huge territory with surprising combination of picturesque landscape of mountains, woods and mineral springs. Dilizhan national park was founded in 1958 and occupies the territory of 24 thousand hectares. It is situated in the basin of the rivers Agstev and Getik at absolute height of 1,100-2,800 meters.
102 kinds of trees grow there giving shelter to 35 species of mammals, reptiles, and120 kinds of birds. One of the best and the most picturesque places of Dilizhan reserve is the Agartsin gorge. The other places of interest are Lake Parz , the monasteries Hagartsin, Goshavank, Dzhukhtakvank and Matosavank.
