Yerevan Railway Station is the main railway junction in Armenia’s capital city. Most trains to Yerevan arrive from Tbilisi and Batumi, Georgia, while some commuter trains within Armenia also depart from here.
The Yerevan railway station was built in 1956 in the Stalinist Empire style, an impressive building decorated with columns and a tower with a spire. Directly in front of it on the station square is Monument to David Sasunsky, a city attraction.
The train station is located in central Yerevan roughly 3 kilometers from the Yerevan Tourist Information Center and 12 kilometers from Zvartnots Airport. Sasuntsi David Metro Station is just 100 meters from the building.
The spacious Yerevan Railway Station houses ticket offices, waiting rooms for intercity and international destinations, luggage storage and a small hotel.
Passenger Information: Summer trains going to cities near Lake Sevan depart not from here but from Almast Railway Station in the north of Yerevan.
