Azerbaijan will build the world highest sky-scraper, – information portal news.az. reports. Construction of the “Azerbaijan” Tower, a central part of the project for artificial Khazar islands in the Caspian Sea, is to be undertaken by “Avesta” company group. The preliminary project provides for erection of a 1,050-m high 189-storey tower - a record building height up to this date.
The ambitious project is known to start in 2016 and in 2018-2019 the construction of the “Azerbaijan” Tower will be completed.
As it was previously reported in web-based media, the Khazar Isles is a unique project providing for formation of 41 artificial isles in the Caspian Sea not far from Baku and construction of schools, children centers, parks, cultural centers, etc on them. Their total area will come to 3000 ha. The Khazar Isles are to house about 1,000,000 inhabitants.
