Batumi Central Railway Station
Address: Queen Tamar’s Highway, Batumi
Batumi Central Railway Station is located on the northeastern outskirts of the city near the Black Sea coast. The city center and airport are 4 and 13 kilometers away, respectively.
The current station in Batumi was built in 2015, so its infrastructure is quite new. The two-story building houses ticket offices, a waiting room and luggage storage. As you exit the building there is a bus station and a small shopping center.
The Batumi station is the westernmost stop on the Georgian Railway, so naturally trains run from here only in one direction. While most trains to Batumi arrive from either Tbilisi or Armenia, a budget train also runs between Batumi and Kutaisi.
Passenger Information: At the height of the summer season it is better to buy train tickets in Batumi in advance, as there may be queues at the ticket offices.
