Museum of Illusions in Tbilisi offers a mind-bending place to spend a fun afternoon with friends and family in the capital of Georgia. A recent addition to the Tbilisi landscape, Museum of Illusions promises lots of laughs and Instagram-worthy photos.
Inspiration for Museum of Illusions started in Zagreb, Croatia in 2015 and promptly spread to 36 cities around the globe, including Tbilisi. It has quickly grown in popularity with visitors of all ages, as children, couples, families, grandparents and small groups all enjoy this highly unusual experience.
Located in a three-story building, each floor of Museum of Illusions has its own theme and interactive puzzles. Meet five copies of yourself at the Clone Table, which in reality is a circular clip that reflects a full circle in two mirrors at 60 degree angles. Another room that will capture your attention is the Chair Illusion Room, which creates an optical illusion that alters your perception of the size of the objects in the room. The Vortex Tunnel is one of the highest-rated attractions in the museum, for it creates the illusion that you are stepping inside a rotating cylinder, which in reality is a completely stable, flat surface. Other amusing and educational exhibits include Infinity Tunnels, Kaleidoscope, Anti-Gravity Room, Rotating Room, Hollow Face Illusion, Swap Noses and even Head on a Platter.
Museums of Illusions is located at 10 Betlemi Street in Tbilisi. It usually takes around an hour to see all of the exhibits, but plan for longer if you wish to take lots of photos.
