Mountain Adjara tour begins with a visit to the ancient Gonio fortress, a testament to Georgia's Roman past. Journey on to the breathtaking Makhuntseti Waterfall, followed by the scenic Machakhela National Park, home to the captivating 20m Mirveti Waterfall and a historic 13th-century arched bridge - a perfect picnic spot.
Tour itinerary:
In the morning, meet your guide and driver at your hotel and explore the Mountain Adjara. The first stop will be at the Gonio fortress, the oldest citadel in the country of Georgia whose formation dates to the Roman Empire. We will then head to Makhuntseti Waterfall, the hidden gem of Adjara. After the short hike, drive to Machakhela National Park and see the stunning 20m Mirveti Waterfall. Besides the waterfall, there is a 13th-century arched bridge, where you can have a great picnic. After exploring the Machakhela National Park, drive back to Batumi. End of the tour. Drop off at your hotel/place.
