The French conglomerate LVMH will be the gold partner of the French Pavilion at the Osaka-Kansai World Expo, taking place from April 13 to October 13, 2025, according to the official LVMH website. As part of this collaboration, the group will showcase five of its iconic brands: Louis Vuitton, Dior, Celine, Chaumet, and Moët Hennessy.
At the official presentation of the pavilion, organized by COFREX, LVMH representatives were joined by partners such as AXA Group, Alsace Wines (CIVA), and NINAPHARM. The event, held in Paris, was attended by French President Emmanuel Macron, Minister of Foreign Trade Laurent Saint-Martin, Minister of Culture Rachida Dati, and Japanese Ambassador to France Makita Shimokawa. The ambassadors of the French Pavilion were also introduced: actress Sophie Marceau, rugby player Antoine Dupont, judoka Teddy Riner, and actress Léa Seydoux, who will represent France at key moments of the exhibition.
The French Pavilion will continue to strengthen France's global presence following the 2024 Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games. This aligns with LVMH's mission, "Savoir Faire Rêver" ("The Art of Crafting Dreams"), while also emphasizing the company's long-standing ties with Japan, where it employs over 14,000 people and operates nearly a thousand stores.
As part of the permanent exhibition, Louis Vuitton will present an installation created in collaboration with Japanese architect Shohei Shigematsu (OMA), highlighting the brand's history and craftsmanship. Dior will offer visitors an immersion into the world of haute couture, featuring signature elements of its style, including the legendary Bar suit. The scenography will be designed by Nathalie Crinière in collaboration with Japanese artist Tokujin Yoshioka.
The temporary exhibitions will also be impressive. Celine will explore the fusion of Japanese lacquer traditions known as "Urushi" with the Parisian "Triomphe" aesthetic, while Chaumet will create a sensory space inspired by natural motifs and honeycomb patterns as a symbol of beauty and harmony.
Additionally, Moët Hennessy will serve as the official hospitality partner, offering visitors to the French Pavilion an exclusive selection of wines and champagnes.
The French Pavilion in Osaka promises to be a true tribute to art, tradition, and innovation. This event will bring together leading French brands and the global community, inviting visitors from around the world to experience France's unique cultural heritage.
