Karakol ski resort is 7 kilometers from Karakol city (Issyk-Kul region) on the slopes of the Tien Shan mountains (2300 meters above sea level). Karakol ski resort is a great place for both professionals and amateurs, since the resort offers tracks of various levels of complexity, and the height the rope way is up to 2500 meters. During your vacations at Karakol ski resort you can go skiing, as well as enjoy the enchanting views of Issyk-Kul Lake, the second largest mountain lake in the world.

The ski season starts in November and lasts until April. All this time you should not worry about the snow - it covers the ground with a dense 1.5 - 2.5 m thick pack. Karakol ski resort is a year round base.

The slopes are serviced by 5 rope way chair lifts with a stationary bracket. The length of each slope varies from 800 m to 4.5 km. The highest skiing point is 3040 m. The elevation is 800 m, the minimum gradient is 7%, the maximum gradient makes up 53%. All pistes are finished by Prinoth ratracks. Off-piste fans who are tired of finished slopes and predictable routes are welcomed to run down the virgin mountain snow.

The resort has two rental centers for those who have not had time yet to buy their own equipment. You will be provided individual assistance in choosing Rossignol ski equipment. Karakol ski resort is a perfect place for beginners because the experienced instructors are always happy to help and teach the skating skills.

The regional climate is mild. Average winter temperature is -5. The ski season starts in November and ends in May. The snow cover thickness is 1.5-2 meters.

The length of ski slopes is 20 km. The tracks are finished for experienced skiers as well as for beginners. The region is distinguished with ski slopes with broad and spacious virgin snow, and specially prepared pistes. The length of the slope ranges between 400m to 3.5 km. Over half of pistes run through a coniferous forest which spices up the skiing.
