Yurt camp "Karkara" is situated in the scenic Charkuduk Gorge, right on the border between Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan. It is just 17 km south of the Karkara checkpoint, which provides access to the famous Charyn Canyon.
The Karkara camp features 15 double tents, 12 standard yurts for two people, and 6 deluxe yurts. The tents are perfect for those who enjoy a more minimalist experience. The yurts offer an immersive experience in the nomadic traditions of the Kyrgyz people, while the luxury yurts provide maximum comfort for discerning tourists.
Tents are equipped with cots and bedding and have electrical outlets. Toilets and shower stalls are available on the campgrounds. The tent camp operates only in July and August. Each yurt includes twin beds, storage chests, heaters, and access to a bathroom with a shower stall and toilet. Yurts are also equipped with electricity and multiple outlets. The deluxe yurts are larger, feature high-quality finishes, and have floor-to-ceiling windows for admiring the local scenery in any weather.
The Karkara yurt camp has a cozy dining room where breakfasts, lunches, and dinners are served. Breakfast is offered buffet-style, and there is a small bar in the dining area. The camp provides cellular service from Beeline and Megacom.

- Accommodation with breakfast: $100 per person per day
- Accommodation with breakfast and dinner: $110 per person per day
- Accommodation with three meals a day: $120 per person per day
Single Accommodation in Deluxe Yurt:
- Accommodation with breakfast: $110 per person per day
- Accommodation with breakfast and dinner: $120 per person per day
- Accommodation with three meals a day: $130 per person per day
Standard Yurts (for 2 people):
- Accommodation with breakfast: $60 per person per day
- Accommodation with breakfast and dinner: $70 per person per day
- Accommodation with three meals a day: $80 per person per day
Single Accommodation in Standard Yurt:
- Accommodation with breakfast: $70 per person per day
- Accommodation with breakfast and dinner: $80 per person per day
- Accommodation with three meals a day: $90 per person per day
Tents (Double Occupancy, July-August):
- Accommodation with breakfast: $40 per person per day
- Accommodation with breakfast and dinner: $50 per person per day
- Accommodation with three meals a day: $60 per person per day
Additional Fee for Single Accommodation in Tent (July-August): $15 per day
Minimum Booking Requirement: Accommodation with breakfast Additional Services:
- Order lunch or dinner without accommodation: $25 per person
- Rent a horse: $6 per hour
Cost for Accompanying Persons:
- For groups up to 4 people: 50% discount for 2 chaperones
- For groups of 5 people or more: Free accommodation for 2 chaperones (50% discount for any additional chaperones)
Booking Conditions:
- Verbal and phone orders are not accepted.
- Indicate any vegetarians or special dietary needs when booking.
- Payment must be made at our Bishkek office before arrival to receive a voucher; groups without a voucher will not be accepted at the yurt camp.
