Nativity of Christ Cathedral, Alexandrov
The entire look of the Cathedral speaks of solemnity and grandeur. It combines the features of late classical and Russian-Byzantine styles. For many years the temple was linked to the fate of the future Empress Elizabeth, the daughter of Peter the Great. Until 1741, she often lived in Alexandrovskaya Sloboda. In April 1990, the temple was returned to believers; the services there started in 1992.
