Vakhtangov Theater
The building number 26 houses the Theater named after Vakhtangov. The theater building was constructed on the site of the old mansion, which at the beginning of the 19th century was in possession of A.M. Golitsyn, then N.A. Buturlin and others. The old theater building in 1941was hit by a bomb; after the war, in 1946-1947, the architect P.V. Abrosimov rebuilt it. The fountain “Turandot” was built in 1997 by the Government of Moscow to mark the 850th anniversary of the city.
