An intense five-day cultural train tour will introduce you to the most interesting sights of Tashkent, Bukhara and Samarkand. Tashkent you will remember as a modern capital, not devoid of eastern charm. Samarkand, city of the same age as Rome and Babylon, will introduce you to the unique monuments of medieval architecture. The last but not the least, in Bukhara you will feel yourself like in an eastern fairy tale which you won’t want to leave.

Tour itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival in Tashkent – Bukhara
 
Arrive in Tashkent. You will be met by Advantour driver. Meet your guide to start sightseeing in the capital of Uzbekistan, the biggest city in Central Asia. Visit Old City part of Tashkent with Khast-Imom Complex, where the world famous Quran, holy book, of Caliph Uthman has been preserved. The complex consists of Barak-Khan Madrasah, Tilla Sheikh Mosque, Saint Abu Bakr Kaffal Shashi Mausoleum and the Islamic Institute of Imam al-Bukhari. Continue to Chorsu Bazaar. Then take a ride on Tashkent Metro to the city center to visit Applied Arts Museum and walk through Navoi Theater to Amir Timur Square where you will end Tashkent city tour.
At 18:00 transfer to the train station. Take the high-speed train, Afrosiyob, departing to Bukhara at 18:50 (605 km). Arrival at 22:39. Upon arrival the driver will transfer you to the hotel in Bukhara.
Duration of sightseeing tour: 5-6 hours
Day 2: Bukhara
 
After breakfast take a walking sightseeing tour with a guide in historic center of Bukhara enlisted by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Visit Lyabi Khauz Ensemble, Magoki-Attori Mosque, Chor-Minor Madrasah, trade domes, Ulugbek and Abdulazizkhan madrasahs, Kalyan Minaret, Kalyan Mosque and Miri-Arab Madrasah, legendary Ark Fortress, Bolo-Khauz Mosque, Ismail Samani and Chashma-Ayub mausoleums. Enjoy free time in Old City. Overnight at the hotel.
Duration of sightseeing tour: 6-7 hours
Day 3: Bukhara – Samarkand
 
Meet your guide and driver at the hotel and visit Sitorai Mokhi-Khosa – the summer residence of Bukhara’s last emir, unique site combining Oriental and Russian architecture. Continue to the Mausoleum of Bakhouddin Naqshbandi and Chor-Bakr Necropolis. At 14:40 transfer from the hotel to train station. Take the high-speed train, Afrosiyob, to Samarkand departing at 15:52, arriving at 17:25 (270 km). Upon arrival the driver will transfer you to the hotel in Samarkand.
Duration of sightseeing tour: 4-5 hours
Day 4: Samarkand – Tashkent
 
Check out from the hotel till noon. Meet your guide and driver at the hotel lobby to start city tour. Visit spectacular Registan Square, remains of Bibi-Khanum Mosque, Siab Bazaar, Ulugbek Observatory, Shakhi-Zinda Necropolis and Gur-Emir Mausoleum – the mausoleum of Amir Timur. At 16:30 transfer to the railway station to take the high-speed train, Afrosiyob, departing at 17:30 (300 km). You will arrive in Tashkent at 19:40. Pick-up and transfer to the hotel.
Duration of sightseeing tour: 6-7 hours
Day 5: Tashkent – departure
 
Check-out from the hotel at noon. Free time until transfer to Tashkent International Airport. End of the 5-day Train tour.

Price includes:

  • All transfers 1-2 pax by sedan type car; 3-7 pax by minivan type car; 8-13 pax by 30 seat bus, 14 pax and more by 40-50 seat bus;
  • Accommodation based on double room sharing, breakfasts included;
  • Sightseeing tour program in each city with local guides;
  • Entrance tickets to sights as per itinerary;
  • Tickets for trains Tashkent-Bukhara-Samarkand-Tashkent (on rare occasions when the high-speed train is unavailable, we will replace this with the most-comfortable class of regular train);
  • Visa support letter for Uzbekistan visa.

Price doesn't include:

  • Accommodation on Day 1 in Tashkent;
  • Tour leader to accompany the travellers for the whole period of the tour;
  • Full board (lunches and dinners);
  • Hotel charges for additional services;
  • Consular fees for Uzbekistan tourist visa;
  • Tips are not included, but would be appreciated;
  • Travel insurance.
