This unforgettable 13-day tour takes you to Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, two neighboring countries that were once part of the Silk Road. Uzbekistan has a rich cultural history, and architectural monuments like Registan Square, in Samarkand, are famous around the world. Continue through Termez, once home to a thriving Buddhist community, and into Tajikistan. Dushanbe is a city that’s full of unique spirit, a mix of modern monuments and museums full of artifacts. Khujand and Istaravshan are historical centers, full of reminders of the time when the Silk Road ran through this region. Finish up back in Tashkent, the biggest city in Central Asia, and a modern metropolis. For those looking to explore a bit of Central Asia, the Uzbekistan-Tajikistan Tour 1 is the best tour for seeing the most popular sights (and some of the less-explored corners).
