This and other questions have been discussed on Wednesday at the meeting of the Uzbekistan Airlines Council.
National company Uzbekistan Airlines has planned realization of 12 investment projects directed to reconstruction and improvement of carrying capacity of Tashkent International Airport, renewal of plane park, construction of new hangar and increase of passenger service quality.
Tashkent International airport is connected with regular flights to the biggest cities of the world. It has ICAO’s second category, and its runway is used by more than 30 foreign air-carrier companies such as “Asiana Airlines”, “Aeroflot”, ‘British airways”, “Korean Air”, “Lufthansa”, “Turkish Airlines”, “TRANSAERO”, and others. More than 2mln passengers annually use services of the Tashkent Airport.
According to the results, in the first quarter of 2015 Uzbekistan Airlines carried 574,000 passengers. In the nearest time, the air company is planning to open the new international flight Tashkent-Minsk-Tashkent. Tickets for the flight will be available as of 2 July 2015.
