Here you will see old churches, picturesque villages, and also visit a Museum of National Architecture. Tour itinerary:
After breakfast at the hotel in Yerevan start the tour departing to Arutch. The city was the capital of Armenia during the rule of Grigor Mamikonyan (661-682). Visit the temple of Arutch. Continue to the village of Marmashen. Local monastery complex is reputedly one of the most original cult structures in Armenia built in 10th-13th centuries. Drive to Gyumri, the second biggest city of Armenia. Visit the Sev Ghul fortress and the Kumayri district where you can walk among the real Armenian town of 19th century with numerous traditional old houses. Pay a visit to Dzitoghtsyan Museum of National Architecture.
Continue to Harichavank medieval monastery complex (13 cent.). Return to Yerevan. End of Armenia Day Tour: Arutch, Marmashen, Gyumri, Harichavank.
