Tour itinerary:

Day 1: Batumi – Miniatures Park – Mestia

Our driver and guide will pick you up from your hotel or at the airport on arrival in the morning to start the tour. Our first stop will be at Miniature Park. The miniature park is one of the newer attractions of Georgia and features around 50 miniature architectural monuments from all around Georgia. Continue driving to Svaneti. This region is the birthplace of a unique ethnic group – the Svans – who distinguish themselves from other ethnic groups in Georgia with their amazing and old culture and traditions. Svaneti is also famous for its original and authentic architecture and is dubbed as a “land of thousand towers”. Those towers used to play an important economic and defensive role in the history of Svaneti. There are still dozens of the towers – Middle Ages stone houses with fire watchtowers; and churches (X-XIV cc). The evening you may spend visiting the original svan house “machubi”, and “koshki” tower. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 2: Mestia – Ushguli – Mestia

After breakfast at the hotel drive to Ushguli village, the highest standing settlement in Europe (2,200 m). Spend time in Ushguli strolling old narrow streets. Visit Lamaria Church complex with impressive wall frescos (XII century). Locals believe that it was under this church that Queen Tamara was buried. Enjoy the picturesque view of Mt. Shkhara. Ushguli architectural complex is a valuable architectural and historical monument listed in World Heritage of UNESCO for its exclusiveness. There are about 70 families living in Ushguli (around 200 people). Overnight at the hotel in Mestia.
Day 3: Mestia – Martvili Canyon – Kutaisi

After breakfast check out from the hotel. Visit the Svaneti Museum of History and Ethnography. Drive to Kutaisi, the capital of Western Georgia, once called “Aia”. En route, make a stop at Martvili Canyon. We will take a small boat trip inside the Martvili Canyon and see one of nature's most wonderful creations – a steep waterfall. After that, we will enter the gorge's other side and stroll over the canyon's waters, watching the water change its colors with every turn and stone. The best place for selfies! Arrive in Kutaisi. Overnight in the hotel.
Day 4: Kutaisi – Okatse Canyon – Prometheus Cave – Kutaisi

In the morning, drive to the Okatse Canyon, a natural monument of Georgia with scenic views. We will hike in the forest for a couple of kilometers before stepping on the bridge over the gorge of the Satsikvilo River. From the bridge, we will see the fantastic scenery of the canyon before reaching the panorama platform with views of unbelievable beauty. Then, head to the Prometheus Cave, where you will walk in a 1.5 km long tunnel and enjoy breathtaking views of stalactites, stalagmites, petrified waterfalls, underground rivers, and lakes along the cave. The underground light system is filled with LED lights of all the colors of the rainbow, marvelously highlighting the natural beauty of the Prometheus Cave. Return to Kutaisi for an overnight in the hotel.
Day 5: Kutaisi – Borjomi

In the morning, explore Kutaisi, the legendary city that was the ultimate destination of the Jason and Argonauts searching for the Golden Fleece. Visit Bagrati Cathedral (11th century), one of the best samples of medieval architecture towering over Kutaisi and visible from almost any point in the city. Drive to Borjomi. On arrival, take a walk in Borjomi Park famous for its mineral water reserves. Overnight in the hotel.
Day 6: Borjomi – Akhaltsikhe – Khertvisi – Vardzia – Borjomi

In the morning, take an hour-long drive to Akhaltsikhe and visit Rabati fortress. An old stone Rabati fortress, the main sight of the Akhaltsikhe town, is standing on a small hill on the very shores of the Potskhovi River. Its name comes from Arabic meaning "fortified place". Continue to Vardzia. En route, a short stop at Khertvisi Fortress (10-11th centuries). Head to Vardzia, erected in the 12-13th centuries during the rule of George III and his daughter of Tamara to protect the southern boundaries of Georgia. Vardzia is not just a set of random rooms cut in rocks. It is a multi-storied complex with streets, tunnels, and stairs leading to monasteries, temples, fortresses, baths, libraries dwelling houses, and so forth. Finally, continue to Borjomi for overnight.
Day 7: Borjomi – Petra Fortress – Batumi Botanical Garden – Batumi
