Visa-free

US nationals at 55 years old and over are eligible for entry to Uzbekistan without a visa up to 30 days.

E-visa

The electronic visa allows US citizens to enter Uzbekistan for up to 30 days within 90 days from the date of issue. The cost of a visa depends on the multiplicity of entry: single entry – 20 USD, double entry – 35 USD, multiple entry – 50 USD.
To obtain an e-visa to Uzbekistan, you need fill out an application on the E-visa portal, receive confirmation of the submitted application by e-mail, pay the fee and wait 3 working days to receive the results. A ready-made electronic visa to Uzbekistan will be sent to the applicant's email in PDF format. The visa must be printed out and saved for the entire duration of the trip to Uzbekistan.

Visa through the Embassy

Obtaining a tourist visa to Uzbekistan for US citizens through the embassy consists of two stages:

1. Getting visa support.
2. Obtaining a visa at the Embassy or Consulate of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

To apply for a visa at the embassy, you will need a package of documents, copies of your passport, photos, and filling out various forms. The cost of a visa to Uzbekistan through the embassy is 160 USD. Detailed information can be found on the website of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in the USA.

Transit visa

US citizens have the right to visa-free transit entry to Uzbekistan for up to 5 days (only for air borders). For transit, it is necessary to carry Uzbekistan Airways air tickets to Uzbekistan and from Uzbekistan to a third country.

Requirements to COVID-19

Since June 10, 2022, Uzbekistan has canceled all entry requirements related to COVID-19. To visit Uzbekistan, you do not need to present documents on vaccination or PCR testing.
When applying for travel insurance, please make sure that the plan covers the costs of COVID-19 treatment.
